Our Final Task's Storyboard!
Our sequence will start off in a long shot and will fade in. It will show our victim walking home and the stalker hidden, following behind her. The stalker will be wearing dark clothes, and the victim will wear casual clothes. The soundtrack will also begin here. The name of the studio will be displayed here in the bottom left foreground.
The second sequence is an establishing shot, where our victim enters her home. This sequence will depict the time of day, which will be in the evening/afternoon. The title ofr the name of the production company will be displayed here in the foreground.
This shot is a tracking shot of the victim as she enters her house. She will be walking towards her bedroom.
This shot includes a closeup of the doorknob as the victim enters her room. It will include the diegetic sound of a door creaking open. This will have the editing technique of an action match.
A slow tracking shot follows the victim from behind as she walks through her hallway to her bedroom, creating a feeling of suspense and being watched.
Medium long shot of the girl sitting alone in her bedroom as she calls her friend to arrange a meet-up at the library to study.
The victim paces back and forth in her bedroom as she talks with her friend on the phone. The victim acts excited to meet up in the library with her friend. The actress’s name for the victim will be displayed here trailing behind her as she paces around the room.
The camera will pan from her walking to where she is walking to. The title for the actress’s name playing the stalker will be displayed here.
Establishing shot of the library. The title for the actress’s name playing the role of the best friend will be displayed here.
This shot depicts a wide shot of the victim and her friend as they meet at the library. The friend will be wearing casual clothes. This scene will have dialogue between the two.
This is a close-up shot of the book. The book will contain one of our titles. The title “written by” will be displayed here.
Medium long shot of the character walking to get a new textbook.
This scene will start with a dissolve and be an over the shoulder shot to get the victims point of view as she gets a glimpse of the stalker from behind the bookshelf.
This is a high angle shot that will show the table and what the two characters are studying.
This is a long shot of the victim and her friend walking across the street.
The victim and her friend run to the swings, giggling and laughing. The camera
This is a two-shot of the victim and her friend as they swing on the swings in a park. This scene will have a tilt following the movement of the swings.
This scene shows a wide shot of the victim and her friend begins to walk out of the park. The stalker ominously appears in the background of the shot.
This scene is set in the late afternoon/night, adding to the suspense of the stalker watching the victim. The scene will be an over-the-shoulder shot of the stalker as he follows behind the victim and her friend. It will also include the diegetic sound of footsteps and breathing.
The victim and her friend split ways. The time of day will be later in the day/at night, like the following scene.
Long shot of the girl walking home from the library as it gets dark, showing isolation and tension as her surroundings are mostly empty. This scene will also be a Dutch shot. The victim begins to get weary and feels like someone is following her. This scene will include the diegetic sound of footsteps. The film movie title will appear following/ trailing behind her.
Medium long shot of the victim beginning to run down the sidewalk after sensing that she is being watched, her paranoia coming to a climax as the sound of footsteps gets closer. As she is running, titles will appear behind her displaying “music by” then it is left behind as she runs ahead and then the “edited by” title will be displayed.
The victim trips and falls down onto the floor. This shot will have the diegetic sound of a ‘thump’ and the camera will fall with the victim (Dutch angle).
This scene is a two-shot that will be filmed behind the victim, showing her and the stalker. This scene will also be a high angle.
This scene is a low angle of the victim screaming (diegetic sound).
This scene will be a reverse shot of the stalker looking down at her as she is on the floor.
This scene will be a close-up of the victim’s pendant with the victim in the background in distress. The stalker will swing the pendant and a non-diegetic ticking sound will play matching the swinging. This scene will end with a fade-to-black.
The next scene after the fade to black will show a close-up of an alarm clock ringing. The scene will have a sound bridge of the same ticking sound (now diegetic).
The camera pans from the clock to the bed. This shot will be a medium shot. This reveals that the victim is missing from her bed.
This scene fades to black and shows the director title. The font for this will be capitalized. Alternative Gothic No. 1.
