Our Pitch

Pitch 1 – A young lady goes throughout her day, but her suspicions rise as she feels she is being watched. 

Pitch 2 – A coming of age teen romance story that follows the main character as she experiences the ups and downs to her relationship, which helps her discover herself. 

Pitch 1 Discussed – This opening sequence would showcase the day-to-day life of a young girl. This sequence would be easy to build suspense and mystery, helping to capture the audiences' interest very effortlessly. The feeling of being watched is also a very common fear, which keeps our story very engaging. This type of story gives us a lot of room for visual storytelling and sound effects. On the other hand, the premise of the story is a very sensitive topic, and we want to handle this with care. This might make it a challenge to keep the emotions of the film realistic. 

Pitch 2 Discussed - This sequence would showcase the turmoil of young relationships and allows for really strong character development. This would allow our audience to easily connect with the main characters in our opening sequence. The theme of self-discovery also gives the story a lot of depth beyond the romance, making it more meaningful. The idea is quite broad and familiar, so it might feel too similar to our last project that we worked on. Romance focused stories also can feel repetitive and broad if we don’t make ours more distinct.  

Our final Decision: Pitch 2 was too similar of a concept to our last project and we wanted to expand our knowledge and skill set so we have decided to do Pitch 1: A young lady goes throughout her day, but her suspicions rise as she feels she is being watched.

Music Video

 This is my groups final product for the music video. For the project, I worked as the editor. I helped to decide what scenes should be used when. I also got to have a lot of creative input with how the final version would end up looking. I also acted a lot for the project. I think that my editing skills have definitely improved because of the time we spent on the project. I do think that my group could have worked better on their communication, but I still think that the project has turned out really well. I am really proud of all of the camera angles we used to create this video.   There were many mise en sc èn e elements used throughout our video that we put a lot of detail into. Overall, I am really happy with what we have created, and I think this group got a lot of good work done together. I can't wait for the next project!

Commercial Blog

This was my groups first project so far. I am really proud of the work we did on this. I think we could have improved on some of the lighting on the clips, but I am really impressed with how our production skills improved. I am very proud of the editing I did on this project and I think that in the future I will be able to make some really cool projects with the skills I’ve learned.
