Music Video Storyboard

 First Scene --

The first scene begins with a high angle shot of a calendar marked with a heart in red on the date “August 10.” This is meant to show the date of the couple’s anniversary.

Second Scene --

The second scene starkly contrasts with the first scene as the main character is ripping the same calendar in the first scene. Both scenes will use jump cuts to transition back and forth between each other; each cut following along with the beat of the song.

Third Scene --

This scene includes a medium long shot of them happily dancing that will also use jump cuts to transition back and forth from the third and fourth scene

Fourth Scene --

The fourth scene transitions with a similar jump cut as the first and second scene. The fourth scene includes an argument between the two main characters which starkly contrasts with the couple’s happiness in the scene before.

Fifth Scene –

The scene transitions to an over-the-shoulder shot of the girlfriend in front of her vanity mirror, putting on makeup, with her boyfriend's hand on her shoulder as she gets ready. This scene will use a jump cut to the next scene as they cut back and forth to the beat of the music.

Sixth Scene --

Is an over-the-shoulder shot of her at the same vanity dramatically crying as mascara runs down her face. This scene is used to jump between scene five showing a stark contrast in her happiness and the way she is dressed.

Seventh Scene --

Displays a medium shot of the two of them sitting together in bed, laughing at the phone. This scene is paired with the next scene as they jump cut back and forth between the scenes to the beat of the music.

Eighth Scene --

The eighth scene includes a show of the main character alone in her bed. She is cradling her pillow and the only lighting within the scene is coming from her phone as it is used to illuminate her face, showing her upset. This scene is used to jump cut between the seventh scene.

Ninth Scene --

A two-shot is filmed from the side of the couple on a date at a café, smiling and talking together as they sit across from each other. This scene is cut between the tenth scene which will show a vast contrast in the vibe and style, while remaining in the exact positioning.

Tenth Scene –

A vast difference between the last scene, it displays her sitting alone at the same table, wearing a hoodie and sweatpants. She sits there sadly fiddling with her glass of water. The shot displays how he is no longer sitting across from her anymore.

Eleventh Scene

An eye level shot of her painting a portrait of him, with him sitting in the foreground as she uses him as reference. As paintbrushes and paint surround her.

Twelfth Scene –

An eye level shot of where the portrait of the boyfriend now has devil horns drawn on with his face scratched out. The boyfriend is no longer sitting in the same spot where he once was to be the reference.

Each scene will last around 5 seconds, with a sound bridge carrying the music throughout the scenes. The scenes will be paired in groups of two, each having an utter contrast; these scene pairs will use jump cuts to flash back and forth to the beat of the music.
